Finding the Motivation to Keep Going

This is my first post.  As I sit thinking about exactly what it is I want to discuss, an array of topics fly through my mind.  One that always sticks out the most for me is finding ways to stay motivated.

Now that I have finally decided to step out of my comfort zone to try my hand at photography professionally, I've found myself wrapped up with all types of projects from planning out my next newsletter to learning how to market myself and my business.  Some days, I wish that I had enough money to delegate these tasks to someone else so that I wouldn't have to hold myself accountable to completing these tasks.  Other days, I just want to throw in the towel and put all of this behind me.  As with other hobbies, I'm known for starting projects and not finishing them but this - this project means much more.  But, how do I motivate myself to continue this and make it a success?

The best way for me to stay motivated is to surround myself with motivators.  This can be anything or anyone.  My motivator is seeing myself five years from now accomplishing everything that I said I would.  I also like learning from other people who have successfully achieved their goals, be it personal or business.  I listen to podcasts,  teleconferences, read various books on personal success, etc. I also try to place myself around positive people who are encouraging and honest; people who know how to give constructive criticism without being subjective and are able to offer advice. Another motivator is just knowing that I continue to make my family proud of me, and most importantly, being proud of myself.  Having faith in myself and knowing that I CAN is the best motivator of all.

Motivation.  Have you found yours?
